Birdman / Birdman
Por lo general cuando empiezo una ilustración o una serie de ilustraciones no entiendo mucho que quiero decir, empiezo y lo voy viendo sobre la marcha o incluso luego de terminada ato cabos y llego a conclusiones. Esta serie que la llamé Vuelo, me hace acordar a cuando deseamos algo pero no nos animamos a alcanzarlo por miedo a perder la “estabilidad económica” o “seguridad” que tenemos, y al final nos quedamos en la misma inercia de siempre soñando despiertos. Porque al fin y al cabo las cuentas hay que seguir pagándolas y el sistema no espera.
Usually, when I start an illustration or a series of illustrations, I don't understand much of what I want to say, I start, and I see it as I go along or, even after finishing, I tie things up and come to conclusions. This series, which I called Flight, reminds me of when we want something but don't dare to achieve it for fear of losing the "economic stability" or "security" we have, and in the end, we stay in the same inertia as always daydreaming. Because after all, the bills must continue to be paid and the system does not wait.
